Canada’s NBSK Pulp Exports Decline

Canada’s NBSK (northern bleached softwood kraft) pulp exports were down 4.7% in October 2016. The country’s exports of NBSK pulp to China were down 10% during October 2016.
The table below, based on data maintained by Statistics Canada, shows Canada’s exports of NBSK pulp and NBHK (northern bleached hardwood kraft) pulp in October 2016 and for the first 10 months of the year. The following graph, also based on Statistics Canada data, shows Canada’s monthly NBSK pulp exports from 2008 through October 2016.
