PMP to Supply Technology for Zhe Jiang Huachuan Glassine Papers Machine

In August 2016, PMP (Paper Machinery Producer), Jelenia Góra, Poland, signed a contract with Zhe Jiang Huachuan, China, for delivery of key technological units for its PM 8, located in the company’s Yiwu mill, Zhejiang Province, China. A new PM 8 (operating speed 700 m/min, reel trim 3,460 mm) will be equipped with world class new technological items provided by PMP and will produce glassine papers. The project driving force is based on energy saving solutions and quality through application state-of-the-art technology.

 

 

PMP will deliver solutions from its Intelli-Paper® platform concept for papermakers. It will provide its first Intelli-Shaker® ever, which gives excellent formation and at the same time impressive paper quality. It enables a capacity increase on PM 8 due to higher consistency in the headbox, and it is suitable to use with any paper grade.

The scope of delivery also includes a state-of the-art, three-channel Intelli-Jet V® hydraulic headbox, which will create excellent formation and production flexibility for the mill (basis weight range from 28 to 90 gsm). The headbox will include a sophisticated consistency profiling system to ensure excellent basis weight control, resulting in uniform paper web structure and better CD basis weight profile. PMP Intelli-Jet V® Hydraulic Headbox Technology has become iconic, and today is a leading solution in the pulp and paper industry. It is a part of PMP Intelli-Paper platform for papermakers. There are more than 130 units working successfully on six continents.

In addition, PMP will provide an Intelli-Top® Former—a solution that assures perfect formation and proper dewatering effectiveness as well as a new Intelli-Sizer® Metering Size Press, which will result in strong paper web and high quality printability. 

Delivery, erection, and startup are scheduled for the second half of 2017.
