Schoellershammer to Raise Price of Brown Recycled Corrugated Case Materials

Schoellershammer, Germany, has also announced a EUR 60 per metric ton price increase for brown recycled corrugated case materials, effective Feb. 1, 2017 (see Caraustar article above in this section). The increase applies to Wellenstoff, Fluting, Testliner, and other brown recycled containerboard grades and will be communicated to all European markets except for Portugal, Spain, and the U.K.
The increase is related to the strong demand for packaging papers and would partly compensate for the significant loss of margins in 2016, Schoellershamer noted.
