U.S. Boxboard Output a Mixed Bag

Total U.S. boxboard production in December 2016 increased 0.8% compared with December 2015, but decreased 0.3% from last month, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) December 2016 U.S. Boxboard Report issued this past week. Unbleached kraft boxboard production decreased over the same month as last year and decreased compared with December 2016.
Total solid bleached boxboard and liner production increased compared with December 2015, and increased compared with last month. The production of recycled boxboard decreased compared with December 2015, and also decreased compared with December 2016.
