Fibria Hikes Eucalyptus Pulp Prices

Fibria, Brazil, has announced BEK (bleached eucalyptus kraft) pulp list price hikes beginning May 1, 2017. The increases will be $40 per metric ton in Europe and the U.S., to $820 and $1,000 per metric ton, respectively. In Asia, Fibria will raise prices by $20 per metric ton, to $670 per metric ton. 

Fibria is the largest global  producer of eucalyptus pulp. The company has an annual production capacity of 5.3 million tons, with mills located in Três Lagoas (Mato Grosso do Sul), Aracruz (Espírito Santo), Jacareí (São Paulo), and Veracel, a mill in Eunápolis (Bahia)jointly operated with Stora Enso (Finland).In partnership with Cenibra, it operates Portocel, in Aracruz, the only Brazilian port specialized in pulp shipments.
