Arctic Paper Appoints Skoglund CEO, President of Management Board

The Supervisory Board of Arctic Paper S.A., Poland, has appointed Per Skoglund president of the Management Board and CEO. It also named Małgorzata Majewska-Śliwa a member of the Management Board.
 
The Supervisory Board has also decided to create an executive team made up--aside from the CEO and CFO—of people currently serving as members of the Management Board: Wolfgang Lübbert (as director of marketing and strategy), Michał Sawka (as director of sales), and Jacek Łoś (as director of procurement), as well as the managing directors of the paper mills—Michael Fejér (Arctic Paper Grycksbo), Göran Lindqvist (Arctic Paper Munkedals), and Henryk Derejczyk (Arctic Paper Kostrzyn). 

All of them will also be titled EVP of Arctic Paper Group. Both changes will be effective beginning May 30, 2017.
 
Skoglund has been affiliated with Arctic Paper since 2005. He has served as Management Board member and COO of Arctic Paper since April 2011, and since May 2016 has served as acting CEO.
 
Małgorzata Majewska-Śliwa has served as a member of the Management Board and CFO of Arctic Paper since November 2013. She has more than 20 years of experience in corporate financial management.
 
The changes are designed to optimize the management processes of the Group by also including within the top management team the directors of each of the paper mills. 

Per Lundeen, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Arctic Paper, said that "during the past two years, Arctic Paper has introduced a number of changes with the aim of improving organizational efficiency and effectiveness. These have included, among others, the Profit Improvement Program 2015/2016, ceasing production at the Arctic Paper Mochenwangen plant, and restructuring of the financing of Arctic Paper operations. The current changes in the Group’s management structure, aimed at optimizing the management processes in the company, are another step in the direction of operational excellence." 

Artic Paper S.A. is a producer of high-quality graphical fine paper in Europe. The company produces coated and uncoated wood-free paper for clients such as printers, publishers, newspaper publishers, advertising agencies, paper distributors, and packaging producers. The product portfolio includes well-known brands such as Amber, Arctic, G-Print, and Munken. 

The products are produced at Arctic Paper S.A.’s three paper mills: Arctic Paper Munkedals, Sweden; Arctic Paper Grycksbo, Sweden; and Arctic Paper Kostrzyn, Poland. 

Total production capacity of the company is more than 700,000 metric tpy of paper. Arctic Paper Kostrzyn has a production capacity of 285,000 metric tpy and produces uncoated wood-free paper for the printing of brochures, forms, books, and envelopes. Arctic Paper Grycksbo has a production capacity of 260,000 metric tpy and produces coated paper used for magazines, direct mail, books, posters, and maps. Arctic Paper Munkedals has a production capacity of 160,000 metric tpy and produces mainly uncoated wood-free paper for book, design, and advertising purposes.
 
Arctic Paper S.A. is the main shareholder owning 51% of Rottneros AB (two pulp-producing mills), with a total production capacity of approximately 400,000 metric tpy. The pulp mill in Vallvik, which has a production capacity of 240,000 metri9oc tpy, produces two types of long-fiber sulfate pulp. The pulp mill in Rottneros that has a production capacity of 160,000 metric tpy, mainly produces two kinds of mechanical pulp—groundwood pulp and CTMP. 

Arctic Paper currently has 14 sales offices throughout Europe, which provides access to all European markets. The company has about 1 250 employees, excluding Rottneros AB.
