Catalyst Paper Announces Senior Executive Appointments

Catalyst Paper, Richmond, B.C., Canada, this week announced two senior executive appointments.
Edward (Ned) Dwyer is appointed COO and will oversee the company’s five manufacturing operations in Canada and the U.S. Dwyer, who brings more than 30 years of experience in the pulp and paper sector to his new role, has a strong track record for successfully leading operational and performance improvements. He holds a B.S. degree (paper science and engineering) from the State University of New York and Syracuse University.
Om Bhatia is appointed EVP and CFO. Bhatia has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services sector and previously held a progression of senior positions in the pulp and paper industry. He holds a MBA degree from Notre Dame University, a M.S. degree from Miami University (Ohio), as well as engineering and science degrees.

Catalyst Paper manufactures diverse papers such as coated freesheet, coated one side (C1S), flexible and industrial packaging, food service, coated and uncoated groundwood, newsprint, directory, as well as market pulp. Customers include retailers, publishers and commercial printers in North America, Latin America, the Pacific Rim, and Europe. With five mills across North America, Catalyst has an annual production capacity of 2.3 million metric tons.
