U.S. Containerboard Output Rises

U.S. containerboard production was 3.4% higher in May 2017 than in May 2016, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) May 2017 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report issued this past week. The month-over-month average daily production compared with April 2017 was 0.7% higher.
The containerboard operating rate for May 2017 increased from 97.1% to 99.3%, which was 4.2% higher than in May of last year.
