Rengo Revises Containerboard, Corrugated Board/Box Prices

Rengo Co., Japan, will revise the prices of its containerboard and corrugated boards/boxes. Recently, the company noted, price of recovered paper, the main raw material, has surged significantly. At the same time, the prices of other raw materials, fuel, and chemicals, as well as logistics costs, are also rising.
Containerboard prices will increase 10 yen or more per kilogram over current prices, beginning Aug. 1, 2017. Beginning Oct. 1, 2017, corrugated box prices will be determined on an individual basis based on the actual rise in factors such as containerboard prices, fuel prices, and logistics costs.
