Carolina Container Acquires Dixie Reel & Box

Carolina Container LLC, High Point, N.C., USA, a subsidiary of New-Indy Containerboard LLC, Ontario, Calif., has acquired Dixie Reel & Box Co., Charlotte, N.C., a manufacturer of corrugated packaging and a provider of packaging solutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dixie Reel & Box Co. has been in business for more than 40 years, most recently operating as a division of Lone Star Container, based in Dallas, Texas.
"Dixie Reel's long standing history of providing high quality packaging solutions coupled with strong customer service makes it a perfect fit with the Carolina Container service model," Carolina Container said.
"The acquisition of Dixie Reel expands Carolina Container's footprint in the Southeastern U.S. and expands market share across key customer verticals. By joining the Carolina Container plant network, Dixie Reel will be able to invest in new equipment and additional jobs."
Carolina Container is a manufacturer of corrugated products with 11 plants in Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia.
