Canada’s Bleached Pulp Exports Rise

Canada’s NBSK (northern bleached softwood kraft) pulp exports were up 0.9% y/y through July 2017. The country’s BHK (bleached hardwood kraft) pulp exports were up 10% y/y during the same period.
The table below shows Canada’s NBSK and NBHK (northern bleached hardwood kraft) y/y pulp exports for July 2017 and for the first seven months of the year. The following two graphs respectively show Canada’s monthly NBSK pulp exports from 2008 through July 2017 and Canada’s NBSK monthly pulp exports in average U.S. $value per metric ton, for the same period.
