Suzano Starts Production at Mucuri Tissue Mill in Brazil

Suzano Papel E Celulose S.A., Brazil, this week announced the start of production and sale of jumbo tissue rolls at its mill in Mucuri, Bahia, Brazil. The company also announced that another new tissue line at its Imperatriz mill in the state of Maranhão will startup in the fourth quarter of 2017.
Total estimated investment is R$540 million. The startups represent a tissue paper production capacity of 120,000 metric tpy (each unit having a production capacity of 60,000 metric tpy). Ramp-up of tissue production will be gradual, Suzano noted.
