Market effects, related to higher fiber prices and constraints in fiber supply, are a hot topic in the tissue industry today. North Carolina State University and TAPPI are excited to present Tissue Day at NC State 2018.
This symposium will focus on "Fiber Development, Sourcing, Trends, and Innovation." More than 17 global experts will discuss trends in the tissue industry, changes in consumption patterns, development, and outlook and how that translates into fiber demand, supply and pricing. In this venue, we will also discuss fiber development and use of nanotechnology in tissue manufacturing. The event will take place on the North Carolina State Campus, Raleigh, North Carolina on January 24 and 25, 2018. Participants have the option to attend in person or online, more information on the event can now be found online.
Speakers will share their experience from the field, discussing current challenges, trends, and opportunities. NC State University faculty will present novel research on alternative fibers and use of nanotechnology in tissue manufacturing. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the Tissue Pack Innovation Lab and a proposed partnership to establish a university/industry research consortium.
