FBA Releases 2017 Productivity & Waste Survey

Fiber Box Association (FBA) is pleased to announce the publication of the corrugated industry’s biennial Productivity & Waste Survey. The 2017 survey provides useful benchmarking data on productivity, waste, and starch consumption, and offers the best-in-class data for users to compare operations.
Participating companies are surveyed on their machinery, labor operations, and waste. The 2017 report surveyed 30 companies and more than 400 plants in six different countries and includes data for 347 corrugators and 2,200-plus pieces of 30 different kinds of finishing equipment.
The Survey contains a summary and detailed report broken down by U.S. plants and by all other countries for:
- Converting equipment
- Reporting on basis weight, starch consumption and total plant productivity
- Equipment listings by plant.
Data is further segmented by machinery size in the following major finishing equipment categories:
- Flexo-folder gluers
- Rotary die-cutters
- Printers
The 2017 Productivity and Waste Survey is available for purchase through the FBA store. The cost is $250 for participants, $450 for FBA non-participating members, and $750 for non-participants. A discounted rate is also available to TAPPI members for $600. You do not need to be a participant to purchase the survey.
