Particularly ever-increasing pulp costs, but other rising raw material prices as well, are forcing Sappi to increase its specialties and packaging paper prices, beginning April 1, 2018. The price increases are necessary to mitigate continuing margin erosion, the company notes.
The increase will be 6% for all uncoated grades and 4% for all coated grades. The increases will apply to all European and overseas markets.
Sappi Limited is a global supplier of dissolving wood pulp (DWP), specialty and packaging papers, printing (graphic) papers, and biomaterials.
