Canada’s NBSK Pulp Exports Hold Steady in 2017

Canada’s 2017 NBSK (northern bleached softwood kraft) pulp exports were unchanged y/y and down 2.6% to China, according to Statistics Canada. The table below shows Canada’s December and 12 months 2017 NBSK pulp and NBHK (northern bleached hardwood kraft) pulp exports.
The following two graphs respectively show Canada’s NBSK pulp exports from 2008 through 2017, and the average U.S. dollar value per metric ton for the same period.
