To be held April 22-25, 2918, in Charlotte, N.C., attendees will hear illuminating panel discussions, information-packed presentations, and technical sessions that will share what’s to come in the flexible packaging industry.
There is much to hear and learn over three days, and attendance at the interactive segments of the program are at a premium. A sampling of the need-to-know product development insights include:
- An eCommerce panel featuring John Moritz, VP of Product Management at Amazon, Neil Ackerman, Senior Director of Global Supply Chain Advanced Planning and Innovation at Johnson & Johnson and Jonathan Quinn, Market Development Manager at NOVA Chemicals Polyethylene Business discussing current consumer preference trends propelling the meal delivery industry’s explosive growth.
- A panel discussion on the "Future of Flexible Packaging" features a former Walmart procurement executive and a corporate R&D executive from The Procter & Gamble Company who have extensive experience in the development and commercialization of flexible packaging technologies.
- Release and review of a special Nielsen consumer survey focused on consumer preferences in flexible packaging.
In addition, the Conference boasts two industry-leading experts giving keynote addresses:
- Steve Sikra, Associate Director, Corporate R&D, Global Product Stewardship for The Procter & Gamble (P&G) Company, will present "A Brand Owner’s Perspective: Material Selection and Consumer Messaging for Flexibles." Mr. Sikra currently oversees P&G’s global solid waste management strategy and drives end-of-life innovations.
- Bob Maughon, Ph.D., R&D Vice President for Packaging & Specialty Plastics and Hyrdocarbons for The Dow Chemical Company, will present "Packaging and Specialty Plastics Innovation: Delivering Sustainability Solutions Across the Value Chain."
There is also a "New Technology Showcase" featuring some of today’s most innovative products and solutions. The Tabletop Reception, following the Showcase, is where you will discover what new products, manufacturing techniques and services are available that can help expand your business and increase productivity and profitability. Tabletops will be on display on Monday and throughout the Reception, and again during the break on Tuesday morning outside the session rooms.
