Sappi Europe ups Prices on Dye Sublimation, Large Format Inkjet Papers

Sappi, Austria, reports that due to continuing cost increases of pulp and other raw materials, it is forced to increase its Dye Sublimation and Large Format Inkjet paper prices, beginning May 1, 2018. This measure is necessary to mitigate continuing margin erosion and keep the business sustainable, the company notes.
The increase will be 5% to 8% for all Dye Sublimation grades and 6% to 9% for the Large Format Inkjet papers. The price rise will apply to all European and overseas markets.
Practical implementation will be discussed by Sappi’s sales team with individual customers during the next few weeks.
