Containerboard Output Rises in U.S. During June

Containerboard production in the U.S. during June 2018 was up 2.0% compared with June 2017 and up 1.0% year-to-date, as reported by the AF&PA in its June 2018 U.S. Containerboard Report issued this past week. The month-over-month average daily production compared to May 2018 was 1.2% higher.
The containerboard operating rate was 96.8%, 0.2 percentage points higher than the same month last year. Production for export was 7.1% higher than June 2017, which had the lowest export production in 2017, and was 3.5% lower year-to-date.
