U.S. Containerboard Output Rises

According to reports by the American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA) headquartered in Washington, D.C., USA, containerboard production rose by 4.2% compared to this same time during the past year (July 2017) and is up by 1.5% year-to-date. The month-over-month average daily production compared to June 2018 was 3.8% higher.
The containerboard operating rate was 99.4% which is 2.5% higher than the same month last year. Production for export reached its highest level for 2018 so far; it was 2% higher than July 2017 but 2.7% lower year-to-date.
