Memjet, New Solution Introduce New NS Lion Label Coating Printer

 

Memjet (San Diego, Cali., USA) announced earlier this month (Sept. 10, 2018) that OEM partner New Solution has incorporated Memjet technology into its NS LION label coating printer. The NS LION is an end-to-end, label printing solution that coats, prints, laminates, die cuts, slits, and finishes labels in a single inline process. The NS LION enables converters to easily incorporate digital technology and produce small volumes of high-quality, customized labels for a fraction of the capital cost of digital or flexo alternatives.

The NS LION combines an affordable price, with its ease of installation and cost-effective use of media. This means label converters can profitably produce high-quality short runs from 100 to 50,000 labels. The NS Lion coating feature lets converters leverage their less expensive flexo label stock and apply the right coating inline with no additional steps. That process makes the production of digital labels with specialized coatings more cost-effective than UV and aqueous inkjet printing alternatives.

By utilizing Memjet printhead technology, the NS LION produces a 1600 x 1600 dpi output that equals the quality of offset at a fraction of the cost.
