Washington, DC, December 13, 2018—The Alliance for Pulp and Paper Technology Innovation (APPTI), in collaboration with the USDA Forest Service and the National Nanotechnology Coordinating Office (NNCO), has announced plans to host a nanocellulose workshop May 7-8, 2019, in Washington, DC, at Patriot Plaza III, 355 E Street, SE. The NNCO is collaborating in the workshop in support of its Sustainable Nano-manufacturing Signature Initiative.
"Save the date!" said American Process Vice President Kim Nelson, who co-chairs the APPTI team that is organizing the event. "The 2-day event will bring together a community of US capabilities and expertise in this important material. Building on the outcomes of the Forest Service/NNI workshop and the APPTI road mapping workshop, we plan to review progress in closing critical research gaps, to identify specific research projects to address remaining technology needs, and begin to form interdisciplinary teams to execute them."
