Gulf Coast TAPPI Local Section Winter Meeting
The winter meeting of Gulf Coast TAPPI Local Section will be held at the offices of TriNova in Mobile, AL. Using their meeting rooms and training facilities, presentations will cover many topics from IIoT Cloud-Based Platforms to Bluetooth Hand-Held Configurators to new measurement techniques for Consistency, Freeness, Fiber Bonding and Fiber Orientation (Twist). Some innovation in control strategies for Brown Stock Washers and Batch Digesters will be presented. Additional topics will cover DCS Migration, evaluating the Health of Sensors and Loop Performance, Paper Quality Systems, and advances in Camera Technology with several mill applications. Friday morning will include three sessions of hands-on training in several of these subjects using the simulators of the training facility and Rockwell’s PlantPAx automation system.
