Over the last few years, we’ve focused on executing a strategy establishing Twin Rivers as a nimble, high quality, service differentiating supplier. We’ve invested heavily in our mills and our people and have made significant progress aligning our business with markets that hold great promise for the future.
An important part of our strategy has been to grow through acquisition and, as you are aware, we have done so with the 2016 acquisition of the four specialty paper mills of the Burrows Corporation along with the more recent addition of the sack kraft mill in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. These mills have proven to be an excellent fit, enhancing our portfolio of products and diversifying our capabilities to best serve your needs in the future.
Integrating these assets into the Twin Rivers family involved a significant amount of work. Throughout this process, we’ve made every effort to ensure we preserve what we believe to be the hallmark of Twin Rivers, unparalleled service and a commitment to "doing what we say we will do" at all times. In short, we strive to be the supplier easiest to do business with and have made sure to keep this concept front and center.
Integration Status and Next Steps
Overall, the integration of the mills and our new teammates has gone well with the bulk of the commercial and operational work now behind us. Additionally, we completed systems conversions in the NY and MS operations last fall. As we continue to work toward a full conversion of all systems we are approaching another significant milestone.
On May 1st of 2019 the MES system will be converted in our Maine Operations (Madawaska mill).
Key Changes
We do not anticipate substantial disruption to our normal operations but will be asking for your help and support in accommodating a few significant but necessary changes:
• New Grade Codes for all Twin Rivers products
• New Roll IDs
• Enhanced Product Label
• New formatting / look and feel to supporting business documents
These changes have been summarized in a reference guide which is intended to provide additional detail for key changes.
