The Program Committee for TAPPI’s TissueCon 2019 has announced the addition of two new speakers to the schedule. Both speakers are presenting industry relevant information focused on topics crucial to the management of tissue companies and mill operations.

Mark Pitts, Executive Director, Printing-Writing, Pulp and Tissue, at the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), will speak Wednesday, October 2, beginning at 10:00 a.m., during the Global & Business Insights session.  Mr. Pitts will be discussing “Trends, Trade and Tariffs – Policy Impacts on Tissue.”

Also speaking is Juan Corzo, Jr., Vice President, South Florida Tissue Paper Co.  Mr. Corzo will be focusing on the away-from-home market, demonstrating the different techniques that converters are using to convert finished product in a more economical way.

Previously announced for the session were Lasse Sinikallas, Director of Macroeconomics, FastMarkets RISI, and Ronalds Gonzalez, Ph.D., Co-director of the Tissue Pack Innovation Lab at North Carolina State University (NCSU).

TissueCon 2019 takes place October 1-4 in Orlando, FL, and represents the only non-commercial, peer-reviewed event of its kind occurring in North America this year. The program offers a dual focus on technical advancements in tissue making and market intelligence driving the future of the industry.
