Smurfit Kappa North America names new CEO

Smurfit Kappa Group has appointed Eduardo Rubio as the new CEO for Smurfit Kappa North America (SKNA). He will begin his responsibilities on October 1.
Currently, Rubio holds the position of Vice President for the SKNA Mexican Corrugated operations. Prior to this, he was Director of Finance for the Packaging Group, General Manager for the Tijuana Box Plant, and Regional General Manager of the Baja California area with the incorporation of the Mexicali Sheet Plant.
Rubio, who joined the company in 2010, is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. He will be based in Dallas, reporting to Juan G. Castaneda, CEO, Smurfit Kappa The Americas.
