First Cardboard Packaging Producer Launches Plant in Mali

African investment Mali-based manufacturer SCS International has launched the country’s first cardboard packaging production facility, La Malienne.
The plant is located in Kamalé, in the country’s southwestern commune of Mandé, according to the information obtained by local news site Bamada.net. Among others, the plant will supply its output to businesses from the food industry.
In the long-term, the factory will be operated by a workforce of some 270 employees, enabling the company to make about 10,000 of var-ious packaging products per year. The value of the latest investment in Kamalé has not been not disclosed.
