American Forest & Paper Association Releases September 2019 Boxboard Monthly Report

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the September 2019 Boxboard Monthly report on October 18.
Total Boxboard production in September decreased three percent compared to September 2018. It was down one percent when compared to the same nine months of 2018. The boxboard operating rate was 91.1 percent, down 2.2 points from September 2018 and down 1.3 points year-to-date.
Solid Bleached Boxboard production in September decreased seven percent compared to September 2018. It was down one percent when compared to the same nine months of 2018.
- Recycled Boxboard production in September decreased one percent compared to September 2018. It was down one percent when compared to the same nine months of 2018.
- Unbleached Kraft & Gypsum production in September remained essentially flat (-0.4%) compared to September 2018. It was down 0 percent when compared to the same nine months of 2018.
