The forest bioeconomy plays a major role in mitigating climate change, and there is still a huge potential to do more. To accelerate this development and find the next big impact ideas, Paper Province are launching an international innovation competition, called "What Wood You Do."
Five finalists will have the opportunity to compete for €35,000 in prize money and join an accelerator to turn their ideas into reality.
The competition is open between March 16 to April 27 and all ideas that aim to strengthen and develop the forest-based bioeconomy are welcome.
After the competition is closed, five ideas with the highest potential will be selected and the finalists will be invited to Värmland on June 3-4 for a 48-hour hackathon. During the hackathon the finalists will have the possibility to refine their ideas together with experts and finally to pitch them to a jury. They will also meet investors, business executives and potential customers.
The competition is supported by our partners Gunnar Sundblad Foundation, Stora Enso and Sveaskog.
