In Memoriam: Dale Robert Dill, Ph.D., TAPPI Fellow and Lifetime member of TAPPI

We honor Dr. Dale Dill who was a lifetime member of TAPPI and TAPPI Fellow since 1989. He passed away on April 15, 2020. We extend our sympathy and condolences to his family, colleagues and friends.
Dale graduated from Kansas University with a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Due to his talent and longtime career at Monsanto, he was awarded multiple patents in the area of paper chemistry. Subsequently, he began a position at the well-known animal food producer, Ralston Purina.
Dr. Dill was an active avid member of TAPPI. Through his dedication to the industry and outstanding work at TAPPI, he was honored in 2002 with our Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor the Association can bestow upon an individual for exemplary leadership.
Dr. Dale Dill will be missed but remembered for his revered accomplishments and legacy shown in his career and life.
