TAPPI’s 2020 International Flexible Packaging and Extrusion Division Conference has opened registration for its biennial North American Conference. This leading industry conference happens November 20 – December 3, 2020 at the InterContinental Hotel in San Diego, CA.
The Conference, rescheduled from Spring 2020 due to the pandemic, delves into contemporary issues facing the industry, including sustainability, the circular economy and consumer perspectives. Content is aimed at sharing technical advancements in extrusion coating and laminating, as well as creating a more sustainable end product, and centers on meeting needs across the entire supply chain.
Session topics range from integrating paper fibers into flexible packaging designs, new developments in PET replacement film, and novel paper-based disposable cup technology to machinery solutions for film sustainability, barrier challenges, and extrusion coating versus adhesive lamination.
This year’s conference focuses on the Vision of Packaging and Converting: Seeing Beyond 2020, and the in-depth program dives even deeper with additional topics covering technical advances in recycling, as well as advancements in coating, recycling, equipment and barrier performance.
