COVID-19 has presented mills with multiple challenges. How would you grade your leadership during this difficult time? A+ or D-? Could your workplace culture be one of the problems?

On September 17, the fifth session in TAPPI’s 2020 Innovation and Leadership Conference Series, hosted by the PIMA Division, will feature a panel of mill managers discussing “Evolving Mill Culture from the Industrial Age to the Digital Age,” from 11:00 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.

This session examines workplace culture, which in turn directly impacts how your employees fit into the organization, your ability to attract and retain qualified employees, and ultimately your ability to meet performance expectations. Come prepared with questions as they address the societal, political and technological changes facing today’s mill environments. Panelists include:

The session, “Couch Pit University Superintendent’s Panel,” Wednesday, September 23 at 11 a.m., focuses on key challenges the panelists are currently facing and how they are leading their mills through this difficult time. Topics addressed include safety, development, engagement and leadership. Panelists include:

On Thursday, September 24 industry professionals have the unique opportunity to attend a live virtual workshop from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Focusing on effective teamwork and mastering change, this unique session, “Problem Solving & Creating Positive Change,” will help attendees enhance their leadership skills. The workshop will also discuss how to avoid common traps leaders and teams face.

The final session in the Conference Series takes place on Wednesday, September 30th. Attendees will hear from a prestigious panel of industry executives who will discuss how strong leadership can foster a culture of innovation. Paper360° Senior Editors, Graeme Rodden and Mark Rushton, will moderate a virtual discussion with C-Suite level leaders from both the manufacturing and supplier side of our industry. Take advantage of this opportunity to have your concerns addressed by pre-submitting a discussion question. Email your panel question to Paper360° editor, Jan Bottiglieri.
