Global, family-run protective packaging supplier Storopack has published its Sustainability Report for 2020, which provides a transparent and detailed overview of the company’s measures and commitment to sustainability. In 2019, more than 30 percent of Storopack’s products manufactured in-house were made from renewable or recycled materials. By 2025 this will increase to over 50 percent.

The new report also lays out the “Three Pillars” for more sustainable management to ensure progress is being made towards its 2025 sustainability goals:
1. Innovative, sustainable, and resource-saving products, the aim is to provide all customers with the appropriate solution to ensure products arrive in perfect condition avoiding damaged goods and the need for wasteful returns.
2. Collaborative initiatives, with partners supporting global programs to prevent plastic pollution in oceans; such as the Big Blue Ocean Cleanup, Alliance to End Plastic Waste and Operation Clean Sweep.
3. Internal Initiatives, continually assessing energy management to improve energy footprints in all plant locations, and use of the EcoDesign tool system to analyse product lifecycle phases across every product offering.
“As a family-run global company, we take sustainability seriously and therefore attach great importance to maintaining and improving quality of life for future generations,” said Herman Reichenecker, Chairman of the Management of the Board.
