The Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper mill (APPM), one of Russia’s leading pulp and paper producers, is considering expanding into the Asia Pacific market by the beginning exports of its products to South Korea, according to recent statements of the company.

As part of this, several days ago, a business delegation from South Korea visited the company, where expressed its interest into the beginning of large-scale supplies of products, manufactured by the Arkhangelsk mill to the South Korean market.

At the initial stage, the company may begin exports of its containerboard, after which the export range will be significantly expanded.

At present APPM exports its products to more than 70 countries throughout the world and there is a possibility that this figure will be significantly increased in due course.

So far, the share of South Korea in the overall export structure of APPM has been low, however, it is expected, such a situation will change already soon.

Asd Dmitry Zylev, General Director of the Arkhangelsk APPM, told in an interview with some Russian media, the APPM is also interested in the supplies of South Korean equipment for its needs, as, according to him, its quality is comparable to European and Japanese analogues.
