Heightened competition, a global pandemic and an ever-changing marketplace has put greater pressure on the pulp and paper industry to develop innovative products and new technologies in order to stay competitive. Mills also look toward new processes and advancements to help increase operational efficiencies and productivity. They rely on key resources, such as TAPPI’s Pulping, Engineering, Environmental, Recycling and Sustainability (PEERS) Conference, to gain knowledge about the latest technologies available and to discuss issues with their peers. Industry experts are asked to share their knowledge and expertise as a speaker at PEERS and help shape the future of the industry.
PEERS 2021, November 7-10, 2021 in Atlanta, GA, is currently seeking manuscripts that provide reports or case studies on new advances in technology, increases in efficiency and reliability, and fundamental process knowledge. Industry professionals are invited to share their latest successes with peers from around the world and should submit abstracts by March 15, 2021 to TAPPI's Speaker Management System.
PEERS 2021
Known as one of the leading technical conferences in the industry, PEERS offers a comprehensive technical program which emphasizes new methods and best practices to help mills optimize operations and reach sustainability goals. The Conference provides mills and other professionals the opportunity to learn from industry experts in a presentation setting, as well as engage in peer-to-peer discussions during panel sessions, committee meetings and roundtables. Attendees can participate in multiple networking events and visit the exhibit floor where they can speak face-to-face with suppliers about the latest technologies and solutions. Learn more at tappipeers.org.
Student Poster Session and Competition
PEERS also offers a Student Poster Session and Competition designed especially for students and young professionals, giving them the opportunity to get industry input on their projects as well as gain exposure for their research. Suggested abstract topics include but are not limited to: process improvements in the consumption of energy; water and raw materials; and the creation of new sustainable products. Student research, senior design, or internships projects are also welcome. Poster abstracts are due March 15 and should be uploaded to TAPPI's Speaker Management System.
PEERS 2021 is co-located with the International Bioenergy & Bioproducts Conference (IBBC). IBBC is also accepting abstracts for their technical program. Learn more.
The Deadline to submit abstracts for both Conferences is March 15, 2021.
