During this two-hour session on TAPPI Connect, you’ll be able to participate in a live discussion thread and Q&A session with experts Peter Gorog and Chris Macey, both contributors to the go-to book for training and reference: Lime Kilns and Recausticizing: The Forgotten Part of a Kraft Mill now available through TAPPI Press.

Meet the Experts
Peter Gorog is Managing Member of Houghton Cascade Holdings, LLC in Lynden, Wash., where for the last ten years he has been providing technical support for lime kilns. Prior to that, he spent 25 years with Weyerhaeuser, providing internal technical support for chemical recovery. Gorog holds four patents on materials and design of refractory linings for black liquor gasification.
Chris Macey is Market Manager, Lime and Cement with Resco Products, Inc., in Pittsburgh, Penn. He has worked three years in the lime industry, 44 years in the refractory industry, and holds three patents in refractory compositions.
