TAPPI Standards Test Methods are testing procedures used in the measurement, evaluation, and description of products including raw materials used in their manufacture, use or in scientific investigations. All TAPPI Standards Test Methods have a Standard-Specific Interest Group (SSIG) made up of industry professionals who regularly review and vote on that test method. Each SSIG must have a minimum of 10 volunteers to conduct a valid review of the test method.
There’s no better way to gain a comprehensive understanding of what a test method does, how it works and learn about its practical uses than by being part of a SSIG.
You don’t need to be an expert to have a voice! Different views and perspectives are valued in SSIGs. Young Professionals and those newer to the industry are incredibly valuable to SSIGs. Join an SSIG now!
