The Sr. Sales Account Manager - Paper Industry will help sell a portfolio of Cargill technical and nontechnical products, services and solutions directly to current and new industrial customers with a primary focus in the paper industry. The company seeks a result-oriented professional with a thorough understanding of business, financials, products and services, the market or the needs and challenges of assigned accounts.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Inform customers of our products, services and prices, understanding both consumer & customers’ needs and translating those needs into innovative, differentiable and sustainable business opportunities based on service and/or quality-driven solutions.
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.
  • Delivery of sales bids, proposals and presentations.
  • Help develop medium to long-term sales plans, preparing strategies to protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Lead and coordinate customer negotiation process. Will close critical, complex sales transactions. Execute customer pricing and contracting programs utilizing market data and ingredient value proposition.  Effectively negotiate and deliver results obtaining business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
  • Minimum of four years of sales experience in the paper industry.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Strong relationship building, listening, influencing, and communication skills.
  • In addition to maintaining and growing existing customers, you will be required to target new customers and develop a pipeline of opportunities two years and beyond.
  • Collect insights from the external market to understand competitors and influence trends, define and deliver the value proposition.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
  • Minimum of four years of sales experience in the paper industry.
