TAPPI Announces Congressional Veteran Commendation Recipient to Keynote at TAPPICon 2021

TAPPI’s newest conference, TAPPICon 2021, announces its new keynote speaker, Elizabeth McCormick, former United States Black Hawk Helicopter Pilot, Chief Warrant Officer 2 and Congressional Veteran Commendation recipient. McCormick, who will kick-off the technical conference with her keynote presentation on Monday, October 4, is a motivational speaker specializing in leadership, sales and safety.
As a decorated helicopter pilot, McCormick flew air assault/rappelling missions, command and control battlefield management operations, top-secret military intelligence missions, and transported high-level government VIPs including the Secretary of Defense. She travels the globe as a speaker, sharing empowering and uplifting stories with relatable and actionable lessons through interactive and highly engaging presentations.
TAPPICon 2021 takes place October 3 - 6 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Ga. Considered one of the largest technical conferences for the paper, packaging and tissue industry, the Conference includes a comprehensive technical program, expanded exhibit floor, New Technology Showcase, and various relationship-building events allowing attendees to reconnect with industry peers. The peer-reviewed program includes over 145 expert-led presentations focused on key topics and critical issues affecting papermaking, coating and graphic arts, tissue, papermaking additives, papermaking fundamentals, process control, management, and reliability and maintenance. It also includes sessions presented by TAPPI’s Young Professionals and Women in Industry Divisions.
The health and safety of all TAPPICon 2021 attendees and participants are a top priority for TAPPI, and safety guidelines and protocols from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the state of Georgia, the Cobb County Galleria Centre, and the Renaissance Waverly Hotel are being closely monitored and implemented.
