TAPPI Standards and TIPs are of the utmost importance in the pulp, paper and converting industries as they have a serious impact on business and trade. There are more than 240 Standards currently managed by TAPPI and each test method has a Standard-Specific Interest Group (SSIG) made up of industry professionals who regularly review and vote on that test method.
Each SSIG must have the minimum required 10 volunteers to conduct a valid review of the test method and many of them have open ballots.
There’s no better way to gain a comprehensive understanding of what a test method does, how it works and learn about its practical uses than by being part of a SSIG.
