1. Science, Politics and the Ever-Changing Workplace Regulation of COVID-19 – Webinar (Free)

This webinar will cover the current regulation of workplace exposures to COVID-19, outside of the healthcare sector, and the likely content and impact of the expected second OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard announced by President Biden on September 9, 2021. The discussion will focus on what we view as the requirements in effect under the CDC-driven OSHA regulatory scheme with some limited discussion of the programs in the state plan states that have developed their own programs. We will also review how politics has shaped both the discussion of the issue and the manner in which the COVID-19 risk has been regulated, and how this pandemic has highlighted the dramatic differences in the abilities of CDC and OSHA to address a dynamically changing risk.
