Pro-Gest to Start Up New Corrugated Plant in Italy

According to Euwid, Pro-Gest plans to build a new corrugated board and packaging plant in Italy which will start up in January 2022. Pro-Gest's new site will have a capacity of 250 million m² of corrugated board annually.
Rising demand for corrugated packaging motivates the investment.
Pro-Gest says that the new plant stands on a 100,000 m² site and is rated to produce 250 million m² of corrugated board annually on one corrugator. In addition, seven packaging lines will come online with a maximum capacity to convert around 200 million m² of corrugated board.
The new plant will initially start with a workforce of 100, potentially increasing to 150 in the coming years as the company plans further growth. Pro-Gest envisages generating sales revenue of €60m annually from the new plant.
