TAPPI-PIMA Student Summit: Not Just Another Career Fair

The 2022 TAPPI-PIMA Student Summit, taking place in-person January 14-17, in Cincinnati, Ohio, offers both hiring companies and students the rare opportunity to not only participate in interviews face-to-face in a COVID-safe environment, but to also be a part of the fun, and develop relationships – something that isn’t possible through online interviews or the average recruitment event.
“TAPPI provides great opportunities for students to learn about various types of employers in the industry, cutting-edge technical information, and build their professional network” commented Terri Creech, REACH Program Manager from International Paper, “and the TAPPI-PIMA Student Summit provides a forum for students to interact with their peers from other schools and with professionals in the Paper Industry. This is valuable experience to help college students better prepare for a future career in the industry. What is the TAPPI-PIMA Student Summit? It is the industry’s only event that brings together students from paper and packaging schools, giving them the rare opportunity to network in-person while reinforcing their interest in pursuing a career in pulp, paper, packaging, and allied industries. No other event offers direct interaction with their student peers, industry leaders, and companies that are seeking qualified employees, interns or student co-ops.
Sponsors and hiring companies can also attend the entire program with the students including special events, fun competitions and mixers. Young professionals are encouraged to attend to assist in the recruiting process and share their perspectives on life after college.
