CPH Group reported that a cyberattack was perpetrated on its IT systems on January 7 and, as a precautionary measure, CPH stopped production in its Paper and Packaging divisions in Perlen (Switzerland) and Müllheim (Germany) on the night of the attack.

CPH noted that its Chemistry Division was able to continue production.
In a written statement, CPH Group said, "During the night of 7 January 2022, the CPH Group's monitoring systems at the Perlen site detected an external attack. All of the Group's IT systems were then immediately shut down in a controlled manner in accordance with the contingency plan. The internal security systems were deployed quickly and according to plan."

"Together with external cyber security specialists the IT systems are currently examined in depth in order to ensure a timely restart. The CPH Group has external backup systems which, according to current knowledge, have not been affected by the attack," CPH added.
