Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project/Office Manager with specific experience in the Pulp &Paper Industry. Wood is looking for a Green Bay, WI (or surrounding areas) based candidate with a passion for Business Development, a background in Project Management, and who is looking for a new challenge in leading a regional engineering office. Relocation to the greater Green Bay area is possible and candidates should anticipate up to 50% regional travel in this position.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Leverage Wood’s resume and your industry knowledge and client relationships to build a growing portfolio of regional projects.
- Responsible for regional business development efforts to create new opportunities and develop long-term relationships with prospective clients.
- Leverage Wood’s global Pulp & Paper expertise, high-value engineering centers (HVEC), and collaborate with staff from multiple Wood offices.
- Lead regional recruiting efforts needed to support small capital project execution across multiple disciplines.
- Manage proposal process, project execution, and client relationships in collaboration with Wood’s global resources.
- Lead teams in delivering world-class project delivery solutions for capital projects and programs.
- Balance client relationships while removing project roadblocks and delivering on your fiduciary responsibilities.
- Follow Wood health, safety, security, and environmental procedures and determine appropriate action.
Qualifications & Education:
- BS degree or higher in engineering with a preference for Pulp and Paper Science, Chemical, or Mechanical disciplines.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of post-graduate working experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years in the Pulp and Paper Industry.
- Minimum of five (5) years in the consulting engineering business managing or leading projects.
- Passion for safety and environmental stewardship in all that you do.
- Strong local client relationships in the Pulp & Paper Industry.
- Experience in business development or a seller-doer role is a strong plus.
- Mature knowledge of the Front-End-Loading (FEL) large project capital work process.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of engineering project control including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, progress monitoring, and forecasting.
- Experience should include proven examples of the candidate’s ability to lead teams that deliver safe, quality projects within contractual obligations both on time and within budget.
