The Director, Manufacturing Services is responsible for leadership and management of the activities, services, and organizations that directly support the Manufacturing and Technical segment of SNA’s business. These include, but are not limited to, capital management, manufacturing support, benchmarking, strategic studies, continuous improvement processes and systems, manufacturing and process reliability, technical services, energy management, risk management and loss prevention support, organizational design and work systems improvements, and competitive analysis.
This position directly supports the needs of the Vice President, Manufacturing and requires a seasoned professional (10+ years desired) in the paper industry with considerable experience in the operational and technical functions of the pulp and paper manufacturing industry with experience at multiple locations and an excellent network of contacts in the industry. This position is a great opportunity for those that seek to move forward in mill leadership.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Continuous Improvement, LSS and problem solving in Manufacturing
- SNA Platform Process Sponsorship and Leadership
- Capital Management Process for SNA
- Manufacturing Representative to Strategic and Benchmarking Activities
- Risk Management and Internal Audit Support
- NA Strategic Project Evaluation
- Global Cluster Leadership and Knowledge Transfer
- Implementation of High Performance Organization concept across SNA
- Must be able to travel up to 50% for customer visits and trade shows
- Be a contributing member of the sustainable packaging development team
