This intro-level workshop is designed to help operators, technicians, sales and service staff better understand the basics of how the processes work, give them a wider scope of knowledge, and help them do their jobs more effectively.

Gain a solid overview of how Pulping, Bleaching, Chemical Recovery, Recycling, Papermaking and Converting work. The course format features presentations each morning and hands-on laboratory and pilot-plant exercises every afternoon. You'll learn the structure and chemistry of wood, chemical and mechanical pulping operation and processes; the importance of chemical recovery in a pulp mill as well as waste treatment and environmental regulation.
