Valmeteers Celebrate Grand Opening of Center of Excellence for Process Parts in North America

Colleagues, customers, and key stakeholders recently came together to host a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for our new Center of Excellence for Valmet Process Parts in North America. This 100,000 ft2 facility, located at 850 Maxham Road in Lithia Springs, Georgia, is home to 45 employees and has consolidated Valmet legacy and Coldwater manufacturing for:
· Continuity and growth of operations
· Cost competitiveness
· Improved efficiency, safety, and quality
· Closeness to customers
Kari Lindberg, Senior Vice President of Services, said “Congratulations to everyone on their hard work in getting our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lithia Springs up and running. There were many fast-paced deliverables and I am proud of the team for their dedication to safety and efficiently achieving our goals.”
Announced previously as part of the operational improvement plan for North America, the consolidation of the four consumable production sites/operations into this one new location began in October 2022 and we’re pleased to share this on-target June 2023 launch.
The new site allows for even more concentrated expertise and resources related to consumables, offering world-class performance and value through the following production capabilities:
· Doctor Blade and Doctor Blade Holders
· Suction Roll Seal Strips
· Dewatering – Ceramic and Poly
· Lexan Sheets
· Hydrocyclone (Cleaner Cone) Assembly
· Polyclean® Applicator (PCA)
