Kemira's President and CEO Jari Rosendal has Died

Kemira announced that its long-serving President and CEO, Jari Rosendal, died on July 31 after a short illness. Mr. Rosendal was 58 years old and served as Kemira's President and CEO since 2014. He was a Member of the Board of Directors of Neste Oyj, Finnish Chemical Association and European Chemical Industry Council Cefic.
Before joining Kemira, Mr. Rosendal had a long career in the mining industry.
Kemira's Board of Directors, management and personnel extend their deepest condolences to Jari's family.
In a statement, Kemira said, "Jari was a leader whose main focus was always the safety and wellbeing of employees. Under his leadership, Kemira's profitability improved significantly and the strategic focus shifted towards sustainable profitable growth. Jari will be greatly missed by colleagues around the world."
Kemira announced on July 11, 2023 that Mr. Rosendal was on sick leave, and on July 18 announced that its Board of Directors and Mr. Rosendal had agreed that Mr. Rosendal would leave his position in 2024 at the latest and that Kemira's Board of Directors initiated a search for his successor.
CFO Petri Castrén will act as Interim President and CEO until the new President and CEO starts in his position.
