TAPPI’s Virginia/Carolina, Gulf Coast and Southeastern Local Sections are hosting KILNCON 2023, December 14-15 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. KILCON is the preeminent industry event for everyone involved in Lime Kilns and Recaust. Participants will gain experience and skills through workshops, technical sessions and networking opportunities.
This year’s event features two workshops. “Turnin’ Burnin’ & Churnin’ – From Mud to Reburn & Green to White” covers lime kiln and reecaust process and operations. “As the Kiln Turns and Keeps Turning” will focus on lime kiln maintenance.
Five not-to-miss technical sessions feature presentations on strategic performance topics like:
- Increasing lime kiln efficiency
- Optimizing water balance
- Kiln build-up
- Lime kiln dynamics
- And much more!
In addition, there are plenty of opportunities to network and learn outside the “classroom,” as well as a special meeting on re-starting the Virginia/Carolina Local Section.
